Traditional Upholstery

These upholstery techniques have been perfected over hundreds of years, the materials are natural and sustainable and the results are proven to last generations. There's no foam or staples, it's webbing, tacks, horse hair & hessian, and it's bulit up layer upon layer. This is a very labour intensive method and is generally reserved for antique pieces, but the results are always worth it and it will last for years to come.

Modern Upholstery

Foam replaces horse hair and wadding, staples replace tacks. The layers are still present but modern materials and techniques increase the speed of construction and so the labour is reduced. These methods can still stand the test of time, the finish remains immaculate, but it's easier on the budget for a younger peice of furniture.
